The metal case was entrusted to Hania Kmieć, an illustrator and graphic designer from Gdańsk, who dreamed up a joyfully offbeat France: a gorilla climbs the Eiffel Tower, Marie Antoinette wears a cake as a hairdo, a croissant dances, a skater in a Breton stripe top rides a baguette and a cancan dancer leaps into the air, surrounded by “Bonjour!”, “Merci” and “Oh là là”. A beautiful postcard, in short! Inspired by 1960s and 70s illustration, she approaches the French world with humor and bright colors, in an immediately recognizable graphic style. Her work turns the box into a genuine illustrated object, far from traditional codes. Once the chocolates have been enjoyed, the metal box can naturally be kept and reused. The fifteen chocolate rochers become as many little treats to share, gathered in a gift box designed to please even before the first bite.
